What are the Benefits of An Post Money Flex Credit Card?

Introductory Offer on Purchases
An Post Money Flex Credit Card holders will not pay interest for their purchases in the first 9 months of opening the credit card account. The introductory offer of 0% interest rate on purchases for 9 months is the longest intro for purchases right now in the market. 

Money Transfer 
The card offers a free money transfer from your credit card into your current account, you can transfer from a minimum of €100 up to 95% of your credit limit. However you will pay interest rate on the transfer you make which is equal to the standard purchase rate. 

Additional Card Holder
You get up to three (3) additional cards to your credit account for free.

Annual fee of €0
Even though you have available to use the introductory interest-free period for 9 months for your purchases, the card is free and costs nothing to continue using it except for the required €30 Government Stamp Duty

Instalment Plan
You are able to spread payments for large purchases over 12 months at a great lower rate. You can only use the instalment plan facility with merchants that have the Mastercard instalment symbol. 9 months 0% interest on purchases does not apply if you use the instalment plan.

Fees and Charges

The fees and charges on the flex credit card is high, for example late payment fees on the average costs €7.50 but Flex Credit Card charges €15.24. PTSB Ice Credit Card is a good alternative to An Post Money Flex credit card because you can still get 0% interest rate on purchases  plus on balance transfers with reduced fees.  

Forfeit Intro Offer If you opt for Instalment Plan

The introductory offer of 9 months zero interest on purchases doesn’t apply if you opt for instalment plan. Also once an instalment plan is ended it cannot be reinstated. Most Bank of Ireland Credit Cards including Bank of Ireland Classic Credit Card have the instalment option and can be a good alternative to the card.
